a little bit about how we got here

Jessica fell in love with genealogy in 2002 while still at school and so began weekly trips to the Aberdeen and North-East Scotland Family History centre. This led to an honours degree in History and Cultural History from the University of Aberdeen. A highlight of her academic career was winning the Cultural History prize for her dissertation "Happy Homes? Cultural Questions about Changing Family Values in Aberdeenshire, 1914-2008". After 15 years working in a family business, Jessica now uses her genealogy skills full-time to help clients find their forebears.
